ACCESSIBILITY

We want everyone on the water.

This site works toward WCAG 2.1 AA conformance. If something on the page or at the marina blocks you from booking, please tell us — we'll fix it.

Our commitment

Jordanelle Rentals & Marina is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. Most pages are designed and tested against this standard. Where we have known limitations, we describe them below.

What we've built

  • Keyboard navigation for all interactive elements (focus rings visible, tab order logical).
  • Semantic HTML landmarks: header, nav, main, footer, regions.
  • Color contrast meeting AA on body copy and UI text.
  • Image alt text on all decorative and content images (when photography ships).
  • Focus traps on modals (mobile menu, photo lightbox).
  • Skip-to-content link in development (planned for v1.1).

Known limitations

  • The external booking system (Stellar IMS at saltcoast.stellarims.com) is operated by a third party. Its accessibility is outside our control.
  • Older blog posts at jordanellerentals.com/blog/ are on a legacy WordPress install. We're migrating them over with accessibility improvements as we go.
  • The on-site marina experience itself has physical limitations — the dock is a working marina with steps and uneven surfaces. Call us ahead and we'll help arrange access.
