How to reserve, what we collect at checkout, and what happens when plans change.
Reserve online at jordanellerentals.com — pick a category and date, choose a boat, add hours, and pay a deposit at checkout. You can also call (435) 615-7397 and our team will book you over the phone. Same-day reservations are possible when inventory allows.
You must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license to rent and operate any motorized vessel — pontoon, ski boat, fishing boat, or jet ski. Kayaks and stand-up paddle boards have no age minimum, but minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Anyone born after December 31, 1984 must complete the Utah Boater Education Course before operating a motorized vessel on Utah waters. The course is online at boatutah.com and takes about 3 hours. Bring proof of completion (the wallet card or printed certificate) when you check in.
Yes. Captained packages are available on most boats — a USCG-licensed captain joins you on board so you don't have to drive. Add it at checkout or call to arrange. Captained rentals are a popular choice for first-time wake-surf groups and large family trips.
Reservations cancelled 7 or more days before the rental are refunded in full. Inside 7 days, cancellations forfeit the deposit. Same-day cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable. Optional TripSafe Cancellation Protection lets you cancel for any reason up to 24 hours before check-in for a full credit, refund, or reschedule.
Yes — every motorized rental requires a $3,000 credit-card hold for the security deposit. The hold is placed at check-in and released within a few business days once we've checked the boat back in and verified its condition. Non-motorized rentals (kayaks, SUPs) do not require a deposit.
Three things are not included: fuel (billed at return based on usage), the Utah State Parks entrance fee at the gate (about $20 per vehicle), and any optional add-ons like a captain, towables, or TripSafe protection. There's no fuel surcharge or cleaning fee.

On the Water
What pickup looks like, how the day flows, and the rules of the reservoir.
Our dock is at 515 State Road 319, Heber City, UT 84032 — inside Jordanelle State Park at the south end of the reservoir. Drive in through the main park entrance and follow signs to the marina. You'll check in at our office and walk straight to the boat.
Standard pickup windows are 8:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 4:00 PM during peak summer season. We'll confirm your exact slot when you book. Plan to arrive 15 minutes early for the safety briefing and check-in paperwork. Drop off is at the end of your booked hours — late returns are billed by the half hour.
Light rain and clouds don't cancel rentals — Jordanelle weather changes fast and most storms blow through in an hour. If conditions are unsafe (lightning, sustained high wind, small craft advisory), we work with you to reschedule to an open slot. We do not refund for weather, but rescheduling is free when availability allows.
No. Beaching is expressly prohibited on every motorized rental — Jordanelle's shoreline rocks damage hulls and propellers. Stay at least 150 feet from shore at all times. Passenger swaps happen at the dock, not at the beach. Repairs from beaching are charged against the security deposit.
Yes. Coast Guard-approved life jackets in adult and youth sizes are included with every rental, along with the required throwable, whistle, and fire extinguisher. We can't legally rent the boat without them. Children under 13 must wear a life jacket at all times by Utah law.
Most of Jordanelle Reservoir is open to wake-speed and full-throttle operation. There's a no-wake zone around the marina, dam, and some shoreline areas — those are marked with buoys. Our ski and wake boats top out around 40 mph; pontoons around 25 mph; jet skis around 50 mph.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on pontoons and fishing boats at no extra charge, as long as they're under control and wearing a canine life jacket (we don't supply these). Pets are not allowed on the ski boats, jet skis, or kayaks because of upholstery and stability concerns.

Rentals & Fleet
Choosing the right boat, what's actually in the fleet, and how the aqua park works.
Wake boats (our Moomba lineup — Craz, Max, Tykon) are inboard-direct-drive boats built to throw a big surf and wakeboard wake, with ballast tanks and a Surf System for shaping the wave. Ski boats are also inboards but tuned for a flatter, longer wake suited to slalom water-skiing. If you're surfing or wakeboarding, you want a wake boat. If you're slalom, a ski boat.
Yes. We rent an 18′ Klamath aluminum fishing boat — stable, easy to drive, with rod holders and a trolling-motor mount. Jordanelle has rainbow trout, brown trout, smallmouth bass, and yellow perch. Reservations are recommended in summer; the fishing boat goes out daily.
Kayaks and SUPs are rented in 1-hour, 4-hour, and full-day blocks. Single kayaks and stand-up paddle boards are perfect for the calm morning hours on Jordanelle. Tandem kayaks fit two adults or an adult plus two small kids. All non-motorized rentals include paddles, life jackets, and a launch briefing.
The aqua park is a floating inflatable obstacle course anchored just off our dock — slides, climbing walls, jumping platforms, the works. A 1-hour session includes a wristband and life jacket; we run timed sessions through the day. It's the most popular thing we do with kids 6+ and adults who don't mind a wet landing.
Yes — we run group bookings for corporate retreats, family reunions, and bachelor/ette parties all summer. The easiest path is to call (435) 615-7397 and we'll coordinate the fleet, dock slots, and captained crews. For groups of 20+ we can also arrange catering through our pro-shop partners.
MARINA
Marina Services
Year-round services for boat owners — service, mooring, and storage.
Yes — winterization is one of our biggest service offerings. We flush the engine, drain the cooling system, stabilize the fuel, fog the cylinders, and treat the vinyl. Schedule before mid-October to guarantee a slot. Water left in an engine through a Utah winter can freeze and crack the block — winterizing is not optional if the boat lives in the Wasatch.
Yes. We offer yearly indoor dry storage (fully enclosed) and seasonal outdoor storage for boats and trailers. Launch and retrieval are available for $100 each. Space is very limited and fills early — join the waiting list and we'll reach out as spots open.
We rent seasonal mooring slips inside the marina, a few steps from the launch ramp. Slip count is limited and most are renewed by returning owners each spring. If you're interested in a slip for the upcoming season, get on the waitlist early — call or send a request through the contact form.
Routine maintenance and repairs on most makes and models: oil changes, tune-ups, spark plugs, prop replacement, blower replacement, engine flushes, general systems work, and winterization. Don't see what you need? Call ahead or send a request — we'll let you know how we can help.
VISITING
Visiting Jordanelle
Getting here, where to park, and what to know about the park itself.
About 15 minutes by car from Park City — take US-40 East and follow signs to Jordanelle State Park, Hailstone entrance. From Old Town Park City it's roughly 13 miles. Most of our Park City guests are in the water by the time they would've finished brunch.
About 30 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City — take I-80 East to US-40, then follow signs to Jordanelle State Park. Roughly 40 miles. Heber City and Midway guests are 15 minutes away; Kamas is about 20.
Yes — Jordanelle State Park charges a per-vehicle entrance fee at the gate (about $20 in 2026), paid to Utah State Parks. It is not included in your rental and is non-refundable. A Utah State Parks annual pass also gets you in.
Park in the Hailstone main lot near the marina — it's the closest lot to our dock. Trailer parking is in the adjacent overflow lot. Don't park along the access road; State Park rangers will ticket. Bring sunscreen, drinks, snacks, anything you want on the boat — we'll help you load at the dock.
